mwgqCupar (in mwgggaelico scozzese mwgwCùbar) è una città del mwhaFife, mwhqScozia, mwhgRegno Unito, situata tra mwhwDundee e mwiaGlenrothes, con una popolazione di 8.506 al censimento del 2001, la nona città più popolosa del Fife.

Cupar si è sviluppata attorno al mwigCupar Castle, sede dello sceriffo e possedimento dei mwiwconti del Fifecite-ref-martin-pp9-10-2-0[2].

Nel mwkqXIII secolo Cupar ebbe grande importanza per essere diventata sede di un'assemblea dei tre stati, mwkgclero, mwkwnobiltà e mwlaborghesia, organizzati da mwlqAlessandro III di Scozia nel mwlg1276 come precursore del mwlwParlamient of Scotlandcite-ref-lamont-brown-p49-3-0[3].
